When working for a local design company, that also prints shirts, you get a lot of experience with shirt designs. A local college, the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, always has good ideas for t-shirt designs. The one request for this shirt was no images, and to focus on the text. I went with bright colors since this was for spring recruitment for Greek life/rush. is design has a 70’s vibe and has two color options for students to choose one. Two big orders of each color option had to be placed because this design was so popular.

Invitations are some of my favorite freelance projects to get, Whether for a wedding, a birthday, or a baby shower. Life moments to celebrate are great chances to get new clients or a chance to create something new.

For the wedding invitation, I made sure to make notes of what the bride wanted and the color scheme of the wedding.

For the birthday invitations, I got the theme of the birthday and anything the child loved or that the client would love to see on the invitation.

Wanderful, a camping supply company, needed a logo and advertisements. I also designed patches and stickers. This concept was loved by many when finished and presented.

For every business, a business card can be your first impression. 1st Choice Pawn knew this and they wanted something different. They desired graphics to portray what they look for as a pawn shop. After some more feedback from them and a few revisions, I delivered more than what they expected. This is one of my favorite business cards I have done. The logo was designed by another designer, but I am unsure of the designers name.

Little Looms is a children's clothing brand concept that I helped create. Their primary requirement was for a logo design and swing tag design. In addition to that, I offered some other suggestions like sign mock-ups, a unique store merchandise idea, and a pattern that could be used while packaging orders.

This project was a rebranding of Skin Works for Jolene Baker, who is an aesthetician. She shared information about her company and showed images of brands she liked. To ensure the design was suitable, I researched her profession and discovered that an aesthetician is someone knowledgeable about beauty. I created a color palette with soft tones that complement the skin's natural beauty, as Jolene previously had bold colors. The fonts used are elegant, which was a big request from Jolene.

The experience taught me that when working on a design project, it's important to learn about the client's profession, what the design is for, and where it will be placed. By doing so, I was able to create a design that Jolene was happy with. When she saw the final designs, she smiled so big and exclaimed, “This is just how I envisioned it!” envisioned it!”

O’Neal Real Estate has a style guide for the signs their real estate agents can have, but there are some creative freedoms for certain things. Before doing anything for them, I looked at their style guide and made sure I was very familiar with it.

Kelsie Jordan wanted to have some fun with her open house signs. She said she wanted a script font and to add a hashtag.

The open house rider is another example of a rider that I created for another agent, and they wanted a more traditional look.

The “Best of the Best” banner was requested by the Fort Smith O’Neal office. They wanted to hang a banner outside their office to show off two years of winning! The main request was to emphasize their logo and make sure the banner was balanced.

I have realized it is important to learn about your client’s style guide if there is one. Companies have style guides to set the standards for design. I have a higher appreciation for the guides the longer I am a designer.

This is a branding for an online upcycled western boutique. My client was starting her small business and wanted the branding to help reflect her store’s style. After several iterations and concepts presented to her, this was the winner. She truly loved the contrast between the text and the image.

When shipping packages, the client had tissue paper printed with the pattern created and the stickers on the outside of the packaging are a nice touch to help show the branding from the purchase online, to the delivery.

Floyd Traylor Honda wanted a holiday promotion banner designed. They had a very specific request for the layout of this banner. Once we got that planned out, I worked my magic, finding great holiday photos, and adding some design elements to catch the viewer’s eye.

They put in a design request to multiple design companies in the area, and a company I used to work for chose me to come up with a design concept. This was one of my favorite banners but maybe that’s because I love fall and Thanksgiving.

The Alma School District made preparations for the 2020-2021 school year amidst the COVID pandemic. They required signs for all their schools, conveying information about the use of masks, hand washing, and social distancing. The school provided the "A" logo and the mascot image, and requested that all signs be designed in the school's official colors.

This was an urgent order from the school, with less than two weeks left for the start of the semester. Due to the high number of signs required, I had to work tirelessly to finish everything in time, allowing us enough time for printing after approval.

The Western Arkansas Ballet puts on the Nutcracker ballet every year in December. While in college, the design program at UAFS works with the ballet company to design for their performances coming up.

For this one, they needed a poster, a yard sign, and a t-shirt. The t-shirt was going to be the biggest challenge since they only wanted two to three colors, to help keep costs down to print them.

After coming up with my design concept for this ballet, I had to make sure I had all of the desired details needed for each of the different print mediums. Keeping the design cohesive with the different details and restrictions was another struggle but I am very proud of how they all came out.

This is a layout design about the US Marshals and covering some stories of what happened with them in the late 20th century. The client provided the information and the pictures and I found a way to organize it on the page. The colors used are from the US Marshals insignia and to help each different story to pop, I did different type treatments for the titles. I got the inspiration from looking at old Rolling Stones magazines. By gathering ideas from big name magazines like Rolling Stones, I have realized it is important to see what’s out there and what’s working or what’s not.

This is a brand designed for a New York City marathon. I wanted to intergrade the location with the event somehow for the logo. After doing a lot of research about New York, I knew that the empire state building is a building a lot of people think of and I had the idea to use the map of NYC by outlining the silhouette of the empire state building. When designing a brands logo, I like to design by combining different things relating back to that brand.

Here is an Annual Report I designed for Ulta. After looking at some previous annual reports, I noticed they didn’t intergrade a lot of images and the information was in black. To break up information, I would have an image on an entire spread. I thought this helped create some breaks from the numbers and brought the investors some looks at different products. I also incorporated colors from the Ulta brand to help bring in some fun to the information the investors where reading. When designing an annual report, there is a lot of information required but I was able to design it in a way that would be easy to follow and keep the readers interest.

This is an Amazon Student ad campaign I did, that was supposed to emphasis the hardships college brings. and shed light on the fact that by having Amazon Student it can help. By signing up for Amazon Student, it will be the easiest thing you do when needs come up in school. I gathered images that would best represent students in college to tie back into the campaign. Now, I have a well-rounded experience in a variety of different advertisement medias from doing this campaign.

AutoMotivation is a brand and idea that I designed to help people take better care of their car. I did some research to find a way to help and my solution was an App. I designed the logo with a simplified car and I wanted the name to be incorporated. I also designed some posters that would advertise the app. The app will first tell people how to maintain different parts of the car. Each section is also clickable and gives the user more information.

This is an event branding that I designed for a folk music festival in Oxbow Park in Oregon. Designing a logo, and picking a color scheme were some of the first things I did. I wanted this logo to represent the outdoors, since this would be an outdoor music festival in the summer, and I wanted to tie music in there somehow. After I found two things that I thought would represent the festival very well, I wanted to find a great way to integrate them together.

Once I did that, I thought of a tagline that would be perfect for ads and I could incorporate it in the merch. Designing a ticket, as well as wristbands, and lanyards, steamed from color scheme and logo design. The website was the same way, and also had to be easy to navigate for any user. When it came to the wayfinding signs, I wanted them to stick out since they would be outside at the festival. All of the different components for this event branding, has helped better prepare me for more big brandings in the future.
